USAFP Research Grants Program
The Clinical Investigations Committee accepts grant applications on a rolling basis.

If you aren't sure if your idea is grant-worthy, you will be able to begin the process by submitting a simple "Letter of Intent" (LOI) that briefly describes your proposed grant. The LOI will permit a quicker review of a project concept. The CIC suggests taking a look at the actual grant application forms prior to submitting a LOI to familiarize yourself with the Research Grant Initiative "PRIORITIES" and "CONSIDERATIONS."

Letters of Intent will be received electronically on a rolling submission basis.  They will be reviewed upon receipt with a response from the Chair of the Clinical Investigations Committee within 6-8 weeks from the receipt of the LOI.

Grant Applications/Proposals will be reviewed twice a year.  This will be at the Judges Workshop in early November and during the Annual Meeting (March/April).  Grant submissions must be mailed as instructed in the Grant Application Forms at a minimum of 6 weeks prior to the two review dates.  A response will be made within 4 weeks from review.  Upon final approval of the Grant Application, disbursement of funds will be made approximately 4 weeks from the approved date.
