Do YOU Have a GREAT Survey Idea for Military Family Medicine Physicians?

So, now you have a great idea but aren’t sure how to get started.

  • Would you like the chance to survey hundreds of uniformed Family Medicine Doctors and be guaranteed a high response rate?
  • Would you like USAFP to handle the IRB approval, administer the survey and provide you the data?

The USAFP Clinical Investigation Committee (CIC) is pleased to offer, yet again, an exciting research opportunity during the USAFP Annual Meeting Research Presentations.

For the 2025 USAFP Assembly, the CIC will evaluate and select the best survey proposals, which will then be combined into one survey and administered to attendees during the research podium presentations.  Questions will be asked via an audience response system to ensure an immediate, high response rate.

Interested research teams can submit 5 – 10 proposed survey questions to the CIC to be included in this novel research opportunity.  Research teams selected to participate are expected to submit their findings to the 2026 USAFP research competition.

USAFP prioritizes survey proposals with

  • Relevance to military medicine and readiness
  • Resident and medical student research inquiries
  • Extension of previous survey research to military Family Medicine.

Attached are the proposal form and two examples of successful Omnibus Survey proposals: Satisfaction of Uniformed Services Family Physicians from 2018 and Physician Education on Breastfeeding Management in Family Medicine Residency Programs from 2019. The final Omnibus Survey questions were edited by the Clinical Investigations Committee and Omnibus Sub-Committee.

Please complete the attached proposal form and email it to Dianne Reamy at direamy@vafp.org.  Deadline for submissions is 15 November 2025.

Team primary researchers must be members of the USAFP.
